The trail in this picture epitomizes the goals of Skifire because it is the right trail in the right place at the right time. It has little environmental impact and even conserves its space by forming a desired use without altering its environment. It creates value and commerce for the people and businesses surrounding it. It makes skiers more whole in body and mind thereby creating a healthier community.

Since this photo was taken, this trail has been improved and re-routed in a process of revision. It is groomed and maintained by local entities who are now stakeholders in its success. Most importantly, it transports the skier giving them a sense of joy and wellbeing – maybe even a glance at the duendes in the forest that are otherwise invisible.

La pista en esta foto encarna las metas de Skifire por ser la pista correcta en el lugar correcto en el momento correcto. Su impacto ambiental es mínimo si no positivo por haber creado un uso deseable en su ambiente natural. Genera valor para la gente y los negocios que la rodean y fomenta una mercancía que crece de ella. También, hace más saludables físicamente y psicológicamente a los esquiadores que la usan lo cual resulta en una comunidad más entera.

Desde el momento en que se sacó esta foto, la pista se ha trasladado a otro lugar en un proceso de mejoramiento. Se pisa y se mantiene por entidades locales quienes benefician de la pista. Más que nada, conmueve a los esquiadores que la usan por prestarlos un sentido de felicidad y bienestar y, quizás, una vistazo de los duendes quienes viven en el bosque.
